Nova Scotia has 13,000 kilometres of coastline, with an estimated 70% of Nova Scotians living within 20 km of the coast. Given the economic, social, and cultural importance of the seafood sector to coastal communities there is a need to explore how these communities are impacted by climate change.
The Government of Nova Scotia has committed to protecting our coastlines from climate driven impacts, and has developed an Action Plan with resources for community members, business operators, and property owners. To learn more, visit Coastal climate change - Government of Nova Scotia, Canada
